Although I'm based in Bristol, UK, I can give online drum lessons to pupils from all over the world - to learn drums online with me you need to be fluent in English & understand that all of the counting you will learn will be in English too! Mon-Fri, 9am-7pm GMT
multiple camera angles means you can copy me clearly
During my online drum lessons, you'll see my face when we're talking, a general view from the side of the kit, plus a ceiling camera's vertical view over the kit. This allows you to easily copy drum rolls around the kit during drum lessons and is the best way to learn drums online!
for best results you will need:
- reliable broadband internet connection
- laptop or desktop ideally, for a decent sized screen
- decent webcam & mic (these can be built in to your device or external)
- an electric drum kit, connected to a speaker > see advice on buying a kit!
- acoustic kits are generally too loud for online drum lessons as most webcam mics will distort. Pupils who have pro audio equipment & the knowhow to set it up to function correctly as needed, are welcome to learn drums online with me though!
no kit? no problem!
Just starting out? Want to try out drumming before investing in a kit? You can learn drums online to get the basics down with just a pair of sticks and a makeshift practice pad!
More advanced pupils can enjoy online drum lessons focused on rudiments & counting with just a practice pad - just like in this picture taken during one such online lesson.
If you have to travel with your job, this can be a great way to make productive use of downtime in your hotel room, and keep your learning going even when not with your kit!
